Rokycanský romský pop se světovým ohlasem, v inovovaném personálním balení roku 2006 a s nepochybnou novou energií i atraktivitou! S Věrou Bílou sice možná ztratili logický pódiový středobod, ale trvale zůstává tento skvěle zpívající a hrající kvintet definicí celého žánru u nás i zajímavým exportním artiklem. Nečekejte divoké etnické funky a breakbeaty, tohle je promyšleně harmonické pohlazení dospělých posluchačů pro duši i uši. Tradičně v produkci Jiřího Smetany natočili pánové Lúčka, Kroka, Dužda, "Bišu" Miko a "Pupa" Miko celkem 16 vlastních a převzatých skladeb i lidovek s melancholií romských genů, ale tentokrát především s flamenkovou kytarovou jízdou atraktivity slavných francouzských či španělských kolegů. Kapela vkusně, zkušeně a lahodně propojuje to nezaměnitelně romské, s láskou naposlouchané i středomořsky prosluněné do zcela originální podoby, zajímavé na první i padesátý poslech.
"Music belongs to our lives, it's tied to our history. It is a living part of us."
It is said that one cannot sing the blues if one never felt them. Similarly one cannot perform gypsy music if one has not led the nomad life of gypsy. The music of KALE (translated the Blacks) clearly reflects the unique gypsy experience. KALE comes from a small town in Bohemia. As with most Romany groups, the entire band is related. They have been playing and singing for as long as they can remember. From early childhood they played with their parents and musicians of a cimbalom band. In the mid 90s KALE performed at many sold-out concerts. Their success eventually led to the recording of their first album with Vera Bílá "Rom Pop" which was released in several countries in 1996 (in France awarded one of the best world music records of the year). The reactions after the second golden album "Kale Kalore" (1998) allowed the band to start an international concert career. During the last years the band appeared in 25 countries and hundreds of venues (USA, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Israel, Finland etc.) Mira Erdevicki (Emir Kusturica's ex assistant) directed a documentary movie about KALE "Black And White in Color" in 1999. One of Kale records is included in the Simon Broughton book "100 Essential World Music CDs" published in 2001 in Great Britain.

"The musicians of Kale are smooth virtuosos, their songs are immaculately arranged and insidiously memorable. The musicians have evidently been listening to most of the major styles of popular music over the past sixty years. The band's sound is immediately recognisable, the ultimate test of any truly unique group." Charlie Gillett, BBC London
